About Me

Richard Greenwood

Having been a scientific glassblower in the Staffordshire since leaving school I moved to the North East of England in the early 1990's to pursue my glassblowing career in the Semiconductor industry. Due to unforeseen circumstances I decided to relocated back to Staffordshire and turned my photography hobby into a profession, concentrating mainly on studio photography. A few years later I saw a huge gap in the school and nursery photography market and decided to offer a choice of studio quality photos at school and nursery prices. No other photographers offered this service and still provided the same old mundane, one shot school photo. 15 years on and I'm still providing schools and nurseries in and around Staffordshire with an unrivalled quality and service. Obviously the sales generated by the style and quality has a huge impact on the commission that the schools and nurseries earns too!

Part of the success is down to the fact that I am not a big company with numerous salesmen and unqualified photographers. I am a professionally qualified photographer and also work alone which allows me to provide a very flexible, efficient and friendly service to your school or nursery which in turn makes photography day run as smooth as possible. Over the years I've taken thousands of photos of children in schools and nurseries, some really easy, some not so! Every child is different, and knowing how to photograph 'the not so keen children' is a very important part of the job which only comes with experience.

When I'm not doing school and nursery photography I like to keep fit by running and cycling and as I also love landscape photography I do a lot of hiking with my wife and two boxer dogs, especially in the Peak District, Lake District and Snowdonia.
